Till connectors

A POS loyalty program that counts at checkout.

Updated

A point of sale rewards program without the extra step: when a sale is paid in your POS, StampyWallet finds the customer's card by their email or phone and adds the stamps or points. Nobody scans, nobody types.

Zero tapsThe paid sale is the visit. Nothing to scan at the counter, nothing to type.

Phone as backupNo compatible POS? Your own phone scans the card in two seconds.

How it works

How does a POS loyalty program add stamps at checkout?

Your POS already knows three things about a paid sale: the amount, a reference, and often the customer's email or phone. That is all StampyWallet needs.

  1. 1

    The sale is paid

Your POS sends the paid sale to your StampyWallet address. Pending orders and refunds are ignored.

  2. 2

    The card is found

StampyWallet looks up the customer by the email or phone on the sale. A POS never creates a customer.

  3. 3

    Le Zinc Stamps 7/10
Holder Karim Next reward A free coffee

    The card moves

The stamp lands, and the card updates by itself in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.

Same path as a scan at the counter: the same rules, the same rewards, the same history.

Which POS systems

Which POS systems work with StampyWallet today?

“Self-serve” means you paste one address and you are done. “With us” means the POS asks for a developer setup, and we do it with you.

  • ShopifySelf-serve

In Shopify, a webhook on Order payment pointing to your StampyWallet address. In-store and online orders, found by the order's email or phone.

  • SquareWith us

A loyalty program with Square: the connection goes through Square's developer dashboard, so we set it up with you. Only completed payments count.

  • ZettleWith us

Connected through the Zettle API, set up with you. Each purchase carries its reference, so nothing counts twice.

  • Any POS with webhooksSelf-serve

If your POS can call an address on every sale (often called “webhook” or “notification”), it sends the generic format.

  • Zapier, Make, n8nSelf-serve

Your POS as the trigger, one HTTP step to StampyWallet. Works with any POS these tools already know.

  • SumUp, or another POSAsk

Tell us which POS you use. We look at what it allows, and if it cannot talk to anything, we say so plainly.

    Ask for your POS

Developers can also call the REST API directly: one request per sale, with the phone or email, the amount and a reference. Read the setup guide

Stamps or points

How many stamps or points is a sale worth?

The rule lives in your card settings, not in the POS. Your POS sends the amount; your card decides what it is worth.

Points card: the amount countsOne point per euro or dollar spent by default, or the rate you set.

Stamp card: one stamp per saleOr one stamp per slice of the amount, if you set one (for example one stamp per €10).

Rounded down, never invented€37 at one stamp per €10 makes 3 stamps. Below the first slice, nothing is added.

What a sale is worth

Points€24.00+24 points

Stamps1 paid sale+1 stamp

1 stamp / €10€37.00+3 stamps

The same rules as at the counter: a sale from the POS and a scan are worth exactly the same.

What the POS needs

What does a sale need to count?

A till connector is only as good as what the POS knows. Here is what it takes, written as plainly as the promises.

The customer's email or phoneOn the customer profile, the emailed receipt or the online order. An anonymous sale is ignored.

A card they already haveA POS never signs anyone up. The customer joins once, from your QR code, in a few seconds.

A reference per saleIf the connection drops and the POS retries, the same sale is never counted twice.

  2. 10:48Payment €24.00 · email found+24 points
  3. 10:48Same payment, sent againalready counted
  4. 11:05Cash sale, no customerscan instead

An anonymous sale is not lost: scanning the card at the counter still works for it.

No compatible POS

No compatible POS? Your phone is the scanner.

Most shops stamp this way, and it takes two seconds: the customer shows the card in their Wallet, you scan it with your own phone.

Nothing to buyNo tablet, no scanner gun, no terminal. The phone you already have.

Works with any POSEven a cash drawer. The POS and the card do not need to know each other.

Questions

Questions about till connectors

What is a POS loyalty program?

It is a loyalty program connected to your point of sale: when a sale is paid in your POS, the customer's loyalty card gets its stamps or points automatically, without anyone scanning or typing. With StampyWallet, the card lives in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.

Which POS systems work with StampyWallet?

Shopify is self-serve. Square and Zettle are connected with you, because their setup goes through a developer dashboard. Any POS that can call an address on each sale works through the generic format, and POS systems known to Zapier, Make or n8n work through them. For SumUp or another POS, write to us and we will look at it with you.

Can I run a loyalty program with Square?

Yes. Square payments that reach “completed” add the visit to the customer's card, found by the email or phone Square has. The setup goes through Square's developer dashboard, so we do it with you: write to us from the contact page with the subject “Register connection”.

My customer has no card yet: what happens to the sale?

Nothing: a POS never creates a customer. The customer joins once from your QR code, then every sale with their email or phone counts. An anonymous sale is ignored, and scanning the card at the counter still works for it.

Can a sale count twice?

No. Each sale carries its reference from the POS: if the POS sends it again after a dropped connection, the visit is not added a second time.

Do I need a till connector to use StampyWallet?

No. Most shops scan the card at the counter with their own phone, in two seconds. The till connector is a bonus, especially for a points card, where the amount counts.

How much does it cost?

Till connectors are part of the Growth plan, at $49 a month plus sales tax in the US (€40 excl. VAT in Europe), and open during the 30-day free trial. They are not included in the Essential plan.
