Food truck loyalty card: they'll always find you.

Updated

Your best Thursday customer doesn't drift away because of the food. He drifts away because he can't remember which parking lot you're in today. The card keeps his stamps and your route on his phone, and pings him with today's spot before lunch.

How do you keep food truck regulars when your location changes every day?

Tell them where you'll be, every day, in the same place their stamps live. If you run a fixed weekly route (Tuesdays here, Thursdays there), a card in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet covers it: the route printed on the back, a morning message on the lock screen of everyone who saved your card, and one stamp per meal at the window. With StampyWallet, as of October 22, 2026, messaging all customers is included from €20 excl. VAT a month in Europe ($29 in the US); writing Sunday night for the whole week takes Growth (€40, $49). If you only roll out for one-off events with no schedule, keep Instagram for the announcement and use the card to bring people back.

StampyWallet is a digital loyalty card for independent businesses, food trucks included. Customers save it by scanning the QR code stuck on the truck, with no app and no account. You stamp from your phone, even with zero bars; your messages show up on their lock screen, one a day at most, and the latest one stays readable inside the card.

One message a dayThe app's rule for every business: enough to post today's location, never enough to annoy anyone.

180 charactersRoom for a cross street, a time window and the special. It lands on the lock screen.

Zero barsA lot with no LTE doesn't block the stamp: it syncs as soon as the phone gets a connection back.

Where are you today?

Today's spot, right next to their stamps.

It shows up under every post: "where are you tomorrow?" People who saved your card get the answer without searching, in two places: a notification in the morning, and the back of the card, any time.

The same morning, on the lock screenA message to all your customers comes with Essential. One limit applies to everyone: a single send per day per business, 180 characters. Exactly the room you need for a location and a daily special.

The whole week, written on SundayOn Growth, each message can be scheduled up to two months ahead, between 7am and 10pm, in your truck's time zone. One per route day: the app won't let you squeeze two into the same day.

The schedule on the back of the cardThe Opening hours field in your settings shows on the back of the card, on iPhone and Android alike: 120 characters, just enough for a fixed route. The latest message stays readable there until the next one.

The reward

What should a food truck give its regulars?

A food truck customer catches you once or twice a week, whenever your route crosses theirs. The reward has to land before they pick up another lunch habit, and it has to be easy to hand out through the window. Three setups, depending on your menu and your prices.

The tenth meal is on the house

One stamp per meal, ten boxes. At two visits a week, the reward comes in five weeks. The clearest option when your mains sit around the same price.

A drink at 4, a burger at 9

Two tiers on one card. The free soda comes quickly, even for someone who only finds you at the Saturday farmers market; the burger rewards people who follow you to three different spots.

One stamp for every $10

For the coworker who orders for the whole office: type the ticket total before you scan, and $47 adds four stamps. The app always rounds down and caps a single scan at 50 stamps.

Write the reward the way you'll serve it: "one classic burger with fries, special event menu excluded." Festival pricing isn't office park pricing.

At the window

One move through the window, while the griddle stays hot.

At 12:30 the line wraps around the truck and you have one free hand. The truck's phone scans the card the customer holds up, you confirm, and you're on to the next ticket.

  2. 2One tap to confirmTheir first name and count appear on your screen. Nothing is added until you hit the button.

  3. The same card after the scan: 7 of 10 stamps

3The count updates right awayTheir card shows the new total, and a notification confirms it before they've grabbed their order.

Parked far from any towerThe screen says "Offline", the stamp waits on your phone and goes through once you're back online, never counted twice.

One order for fourSomeone paying for their team? Type "4" before you scan, or the dollar amount if you count in $10 steps.

Two in the truck, two phonesYour coworker scans with their own phone after accepting an invite link. All they see is the scanner.

Days the truck stays home

Parked for winter, your regulars aren't written off.

A truck doesn't roll out every day, and plenty of them take a few weeks off in January. The automatic win-back should count the days people could have found you, not the days you were closed.

Days off, set onceIn Settings, tick the days the truck never goes out. Absence counting skips them: five route days make a week.

Time off, one click on the calendarClick the first day, then the last. During those dates nobody turns into a "lost" customer, and no win-back goes out for nothing.

A win-back on each person's rhythmOn Growth, a weekly customer gets a nudge once they go one and a half times past their usual gap, within the limits of your delay setting. Just once, on their lock screen.

Your questions

What street food cooks ask us.

How do customers know where my food truck is today?

Everyone who saved your card gets your daily message on their lock screen, for example "Carnot Square, 11:30am to 2pm", and can reread it on the back of the card. Your fixed route can also live in the Opening hours field, shown in the same place. For people who don't have the card yet, Instagram or your website stays the storefront: put its address in the Website field and it opens from the card.

Can I schedule the whole week's locations at once?

Yes, on Growth: write one message per route day and pick a day and time for each, between 7am and 10pm, up to 60 days ahead. The app accepts one message per day: if a spot changes at the last minute, edit the scheduled message instead of adding another.

Does stamping work in a lot with no signal?

Yes. The scanner shows "Offline" and keeps the stamp on your phone; it goes through as soon as the connection is back, with no duplicates. The customer's card updates at that moment.

I close for two months in winter. Will customers get win-back messages meanwhile?

No, as long as you enter those dates in Settings under "Your closures". Time off and weekly closed days are left out when the app works out who to bring back. When you reopen, one message to everyone ("Back Tuesday at Pine Street park") does the job.

Will someone I served once at a festival get my everyday messages?

Yes: a message to everyone reaches everyone who kept your card, wherever they live. The app doesn't sort customers by where they bought yet. If you work lots of events far from your route, keep messages useful for all, and let people remove the card in one tap if they want.

Can the card pop up when a customer is near the truck?

For one spot at a time. StampyWallet's proximity alert places your business at the address in your settings, and the customer's phone decides whether to suggest the card when they get close. It doesn't follow your route: you can move that point in Settings, say to your Saturday market, but you can't give it a different spot for each day. For today's location, the morning message is still the way to go.

How much does a loyalty card cost for a food truck?

As of October 22, 2026: Essential is €20 a month excl. VAT in Europe ($29 before tax in the US, £19 in the UK), with scanning, the Apple Wallet and Google Wallet card and messages to everyone. Growth, at €40 ($49, £35), adds scheduled messages, automatic win-backs and visits by day and hour. The first month is free, no commitment.
