Barbershops and hair salons

Barbershop and hair salon loyalty card, from one cut to the next.

The 10th cut free, without a paper card lost in a wallet nobody opens. Your client scans the QR code while paying, the card goes into Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, and every barber stamps it from their own phone.

30 days free, no commitment, no hardware.

No appThe card goes into the Wallet while the client pays. No account, no password.

Every chairEach barber stamps from their own phone. No front-desk tablet, no terminal to rent.

A Book buttonYour Booksy, Fresha or Square page, or your phone number, on the back of the card. Clients book without searching.

The reward

A free cut, after a year of habit.

A cut comes around every four to six weeks, so ten cuts is close to a year. The card has to last without getting lost, and reward a loyal client without discounting your work. Three formats we see working in shops.

10th cut free

The format everyone gets. A regular fills it in about a year: your most loyal client gets the reward, not the walk-in.

Cut and beard, each with its own counter

Two rows on the same card: one counts cuts, the other beard trims, each with its own reward. At the counter, you pick the row before you scan.

Points, when services vary

A color isn't a fringe trim. With points, you enter what the service is worth at the counter, or the ticket amount if you give one point per dollar.

Write the reward precisely ("one men's cut" or "one blow-dry"): a "free service" always ends up being a full color.

At the counter

The stamp goes on while they pay.

Your client already has their phone out to pay. Stamping takes two seconds, without leaving the chair, and never lands on the wrong client.

  1. 1They show their cardYour client opens their Wallet. You aim your phone at the code, like taking a photo.

  2. 2You add the stampThe screen shows who it is and where they're at. One tap to confirm, nothing goes through on its own.

  3. 3Their card updates instantlyThe stamp shows up on their phone, and their lock screen tells them.

Every barber, their own phoneInvited by a link, your barbers scan from their own phones. They only see the scanner, not your numbers or your client list.

Two stamps at onceCut and beard on the same day? Type "2" before you aim. It counts as one visit, and the card moves forward by two.

No double stampsTwo scans less than a minute and a half apart count once. You can change that delay, or turn it off.

Between two cuts

Your shop stays in their pocket until the next one.

Six weeks is long enough for a client to walk past the barber next door. The card keeps working in the meantime, with two things a paper card can't do.

A prepaid 5-cut packageSold at your register, it lives in the client's Wallet next to their loyalty card. Each cut is counted off at the scan, they always know what's left, and they come back to you rather than anywhere else. On the Growth plan.

A nudge timed to each clientThe card learns each client's rhythm. When someone goes one and a half times past their usual gap, they get a note on their lock screen, once, and the "Book" button is waiting on the back of their card. Without history, the trade's default applies: six weeks, adjustable. On the Growth plan.

What paper can't do

A card that fills your Tuesdays too.

The punch card keeps its simplicity. What changes is that it lives on your client's phone, and it can talk to them.

A message for the empty slots"Chairs open Tuesday and Wednesday morning" on your clients' lock screens, written Sunday night and scheduled for Monday at 9. On the Growth plan.

A birthday treat, if they want oneClients share their day and month, never their year. If you write a gift, they get it on the day, and the counter screen reminds you. On the Growth plan.

Know who your regulars areHow many cards, how many visits, who comes back and who drops off: the dashboard tells you. The appointment book alone never did.

Google reviews, at the right momentAfter a few visits, clients get a direct link to your Google listing. The same for everyone, as Google requires. On the Growth plan.

Gift cards

Gift a cut, no paper voucher.

Sell a gift card at the counter, for a cut and beard or for an amount. StampyWallet sends it to the person receiving it by email, or by text where texting is available, with the buyer's note. They add it to their Wallet and come spend it with you. On the Growth plan.

Questions

What barbers and salons ask us.

How many stamps should a barbershop punch card have?

Six to ten. At one cut every five weeks, ten stamps is close to a year: fine for a barbershop whose clients come often, long for a salon where clients come every two months. There, six cuts, or two tiers (a treatment at visit 4, a cut at visit 8), keep the reward within reach.

Does the card replace Booksy or Fresha?

No, it works alongside them. Paste your booking page address (Booksy, Fresha, Square, Calendly) or your phone number in the settings: a "Book" button appears on the back of the card, and the nudge to clients who've gone quiet points there.

Can each barber stamp from their own phone?

Yes. You invite each team member by a link, with no limit on any plan. They only see the scanner: not your numbers, not your client list.

Can I sell prepaid packages of cuts?

Yes, on the Growth plan: "5 cuts" or "10 beard trims", at the price and length you choose. Payment happens at your register, the package goes into the client's Wallet, and each visit is counted off at the scan.

How much does a digital loyalty card for a hair salon cost?

Essential is $29 a month before tax (£19 in the UK, €20 in Europe): unlimited clients, Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, scanning and messages to all your clients. Growth, at $49 (£35, €40), adds automatic nudges, birthdays, Google review requests, gift cards and packages. 30 days free, no commitment, no setup fee.

What happens to the cards if I cancel?

They stay on your clients' phones with their stamps, and you can keep stamping. You can export your clients as a CSV whenever you like.

Your shop's card can exist in five minutes.

Long enough to add your logo, write your reward, paste your booking link and print the counter poster.
