Two kinds
A free item, or an amount to spend.
You choose what you sell. Both can live side by side: your best sellers, and a few round amounts for people who can't decide.
An item is given onceA croissant, a brunch, a haircut. You set the name, the price and the photo, with the background removed when possible. At the counter, one tap gives it, and the card turns to “used”.
An amount is spent over several visitsYou suggest your amounts, and allow any amount if you like. Each visit takes off what was spent, never more than the balance.
What was sold stays putThe item's name, photo and price are copied onto the card at the sale: changing your items never changes a card already given.
After the sale
It goes out by WhatsApp, by link, or on paper.
The card is created in a few seconds on your phone, at the counter. Then you choose how it travels to the person receiving it.
By WhatsAppOne button prepares the message, in your card's language, with the link.
By QR code or by linkIn person, they scan the code with their phone. From afar, you copy the link and send it however you like.
PrintedA printable version, with its QR code, to hand over in person.
In the WalletThe page they receive shows the giver's name, their note and the card, with the Apple Wallet and Google Wallet buttons. No app, no account.
At the counter
Scanned like a loyalty card.
Same scanner, same phone. The card opens, you type what was spent, and the balance updates on your screen and in your customer's Wallet.
Never below zeroA visit never takes off more than the balance. Whatever is left waits for next time.
The balance follows in the WalletAfter each visit, the card updates, with a message: “Balance updated: $32 left.”
Every visit is loggedThe sale and every charge stay in a ledger. The list of cards sold shows where each one stands: unused, partly used, used or expired.
A card sold stays validEven if you change plans, a card already given is always honored at the counter.
And one more loyalty cardSomeone who comes in with a gift card can create their loyalty card on the spot: it goes straight into their Wallet.

Questions
What people ask us about gift cards.
Do I need a special terminal or register?
No. The gift card is paid at your usual register, like any other sale. StampyWallet creates the card and charges it at the scan; it takes no money.
Does the recipient have to install an app?
No. They open the link and add the card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. If they prefer paper, the card prints with its QR code.
Can an amount card be spent over several visits?
Yes. Each visit takes off what was spent, never more than the balance, and the card updates in the Wallet. An item card, on the other hand, is used once.
How long is a gift card valid?
3, 6 or 12 months from the sale, depending on your setting. The date is printed on the card. An expired card can no longer be charged, and its page says so.
What happens to a card already sold if I change plans?
It stays valid. Selling gift cards takes the Growth plan (or the trial), but honoring a card already sold works at the counter on every plan.
Can I sell gift cards online?
Not today: the card is sold at the counter, from your phone, and paid at your register. You can then send it from afar, by WhatsApp or by link.
