A gym loyalty card for the members who keep coming back.

Updated

Dues get charged on the 1st whether someone trains or not. What makes them renew is the habit of walking in. The card counts their workouts in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, rewards them for keeping the streak, and speaks up when they lose it.

Set up my gym's card What it costs

One month free. No reader to install: the coach's phone does the job.

Does a membership gym need a loyalty card?

Not to collect money: your gym software already bills the membership. As of October 22, 2026, a card does a different job: it shows who actually trains, rewards consistency instead of spending, and flags the member whose workouts are thinning out before they cancel. If your software already tracks check-ins and messages lapsed members, stick with it. If not, StampyWallet adds that layer in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, no app, from $29 a month in the US (€20 excl. VAT in Europe); automatic win-back messages are on Growth, $49 (€40), with a 30-day free trial.

StampyWallet is a digital loyalty card for independent businesses, including boxing gyms, CrossFit boxes and strength gyms. Members add it to their phone from the QR code at the front desk; a coach scans it at each session. It does not handle memberships, recurring billing, door access or the class schedule.

Outside billingNothing touches your monthly dues or your gym software. The card runs alongside them.

At warm-upThe coach scans at the start of class. Your door system keeps doing its own thing.

Drop-off, spottedThree sessions a week, then nothing: set to two weeks, the card notices after eight days, not two months.

Rewarding attendance

What to give without discounting dues?

A free month costs a month of revenue and lives in your billing software, not on a card. What works in a gym is club gear and coach time: cheap to give, visible on the floor, and a clear signal that showing up counts.

Twelve workouts, one session with a coach

Three months at once a week, one month at three. A one-on-one fixes technique, sets a goal, and fits into a slow hour.

Shaker at 10, T-shirt at 25, hoodie at 50

Tiers on one card, like belts. A box T-shirt worn around town is free advertising too.

Eight sessions, one friend pass

Your regular brings someone like them. The friend scans the front desk QR and leaves with a card of their own.

The product does not track who brought whom: the friend pass is a reward you honor at the desk, not a referral program with linked accounts.

At the start of class

One scan during the warm-up.

The key fob opens the door; it tells no one who actually shows up. The coach holds a phone at the start of class and scans cards while people wrap their hands.

  1. Uppercut loyalty card in the Wallet, 7 of 12 stamps, ready to be scanned

1Samir pulls out his phoneHis Uppercut card sits in his Wallet next to his transit pass. The coach points at it like taking a photo.

  2. 2The coach confirmsThe screen shows his first name and session count. One tap and the workout is logged.

  3. The same card after the scan: 8 of 12 stamps

3The count moves in his pocketSamir sees session eight land on his lock screen before his wraps are on.

Phone in the lockerIn the scanner, "Find a customer" pulls the member up by first name, last name or phone number, and the session still counts.

One scan per sessionTwo scans less than a minute and a half apart count once. A two-hour class doubles nothing.

Every coach, their own phoneInvited by link, coaches scan without seeing revenue or the member list.

Who does what

Software bills, the fob opens, the card counts.

A gym already has its tools. The card replaces none of them: it fills the one gap they leave, between a paid membership and a member who actually shows up.

Your gym management software

  • The contract, the commitment, the end date.
  • Monthly billing and failed payments.
  • The class schedule and bookings.

Your door system or key fobs

  • Who may enter, and when.
  • Access outside staffed hours.
  • Nothing the member sees or carries.

The StampyWallet card

  • Sessions counted, visible on the phone.
  • Consistency rewards that leave pricing alone.
  • A nudge to the member who drifts, on Growth.
The Uppercut card in the Wallet: seven of twelve sessions, a coaching session as the reward, and the QR code the coach scans.

There is no connection today between StampyWallet and gym management software: sessions are counted by scanning, not from the door system.

Before the cancellation

A member drifting away shows up on their card.

Nobody cancels on a whim. They come less, then not at all, then they email to quit. The card knows each member's rhythm and reacts to their absence, not to one rule for the whole gym.

Each member's rhythmFrom four sessions on, the card learns a member's usual gap and messages them when an absence runs past one and a half times that. Never before seven open days.

Set it to two weeksBy default the window is one month. For a gym, pick two weeks in Settings: it applies to new members and caps the rhythm of regulars.

Once, and you know whoThe message goes out once per absence. The dashboard lists who to win back each day, so a coach can call too. On Growth.

Pricing

Cheaper than one lost membership.

Gym questions

What boxing clubs, boxes and gyms ask us.

What reward works in a gym where everyone already pays dues?

One that leaves the price alone: a one-on-one with a coach, a shaker, the club T-shirt, a towel, a friend pass. It rewards attendance, not spending, and needs no credit in your billing software.

Does the card replace my key fobs or my gym software?

No. StampyWallet opens no doors, bills nothing, and handles neither contracts nor the schedule. There is no connection with those tools today: a session counts when a coach scans the card.

How can I tell a member is about to cancel?

Sessions thin out first. On Growth, the card compares each member's absence with their own rhythm and messages them when it becomes unusual; the dashboard shows you who. Set the gym's window to two weeks for new members.

Can I run a member referral program?

Not a tracked one: the app does not link a new member to whoever brought them. You can offer a friend pass as a reward, though, and the friend adds their own card by scanning the front desk QR.

What about drop-ins and 10-class punch cards?

On Growth, you sell the pack at your register and create it in StampyWallet: it goes into the person's Wallet and each class comes off with a scan. Handy for visitors and boxers who will not sign a contract.

A CrossFit box runs two WODs a day: two stamps?

Yes if you scan at both, more than a minute and a half apart. If you want one stamp a day, scan once; the delay between scans can be changed too.

How much does StampyWallet cost for a gym?

As of October 22, 2026: Essential at $29 a month in the US (€20 excl. VAT in Europe, £19 in the UK) with unlimited cards, scans and coaches and messages to all your members; Growth at $49 (€40, £35) with win-backs, groups, scheduled messages, prepaid packs and Google reviews. 30 days free, no contract.

Your next class can already count.

Add the club logo, pick the attendance reward, print the QR for the front desk. The first members add it before warm-up.
