Five sessions, a free flash
One stamp per session, whether it runs one hour or four. On the fifth, a small flash from your sheet, free. Nobody needs it explained.
Tattoo and piercing studios
Updated
A client who already wears your work tends to come back: to finish the sleeve, for a touch-up, for their partner's piercing. The card goes into Apple Wallet or Google Wallet with one scan, and you stamp it from your phone when the session is done.

It depends on how you work. If clients come back for another piece, a touch-up or a piercing, and you want the card in their Wallet with no app, StampyWallet fits: one stamp per session or one point per dollar, from €20 excl. VAT a month in Europe ($29 in the US) as of October 2026. If you already book and take payment in Booksy, its stamp card comes with the subscription, inside the Booksy app. If you ring up on Square, Square Loyalty works with your register. If you do one piece per client, sell gift cards instead.
StampyWallet is a digital loyalty card for independent businesses, tattoo studios included. Clients add it to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet by scanning a QR code, with no app to download; you stamp each session from your phone, and the card tells them on their lock screen about their stamps, their reward and your open slots.
No appClients scan the QR code at the counter or the link in your Instagram bio and tap "Add". No account, no password.
Gloves offThe stamp goes on at checkout, not at the chair. If their phone is dead, you find them by name.
Every dollar countsA two-hour session and a small flash are not worth the same: with points, the card counts what each piece is worth.
The reward
In a studio, a session is worth one to three hundred dollars: giving one away makes no sense. What works is a gift that costs you little and your client values: a small flash, a piercing, an aftercare kit. Three setups, each one a setting, that you can change without clients redoing anything.
One stamp per session, whether it runs one hour or four. On the fifth, a small flash from your sheet, free. Nobody needs it explained.
Free aftercare balm on the second session, a flash on the fifth. The first gift comes early and reminds them the card exists.
For a studio with very different prices: an aftercare kit at 300 points, a flash at 800. A back piece moves faster than a single word, and that is fair.
Write the reward precisely ("a flash up to 2 inches from our sheet"): otherwise the free flash ends up being the biggest design on the wall.
At the counter
During the session your hands are busy and the wrap is on. The stamp goes on at the end, at the counter, in two seconds, just like payment.

1They show their cardAt checkout, your client opens their Wallet. You point your phone at the code, like taking a photo.
2You add the stampThe screen shows who it is and how many they have. One tap to confirm, nothing goes out on its own.
3Their card updates instantlyThe stamp appears on their phone, and their lock screen tells them before they're out the door.
Or by nameIn the scanner, "Find a customer" looks them up by first name, last name, email or phone. Handy when their phone died after four hours in the chair.
No double stampsTwo scans less than a minute and a half apart count once. The delay can be adjusted, or turned off.
Every artist stampsYour tattoo artists and your piercer scan from their own phones, invited with a link. They only see the scanner, not your numbers or your clients.
What paper can't do
The stamp card keeps its simplicity. What changes is that it lives on your clients' phones, and it can talk to them.
A message when you have openings"Flash day this Saturday" or "two open slots next week" on the lock screen of everyone who carries your card.
Win back the ones who driftedA client who hasn't been in for months gets a message, on its own. On the Growth plan.
Google reviews, after the sessionA direct link to your Google listing, sent to clients after their visit. On the Growth plan.
Know who your regulars areHow many cards, how many visits, who comes back and who doesn't: the dashboard tells you, the appointment book doesn't.
The gift card
Tattoos get gifted a lot, and almost always as an amount: the giver doesn't pick the design. Sell the gift card at the counter, StampyWallet sends it by text or email to the recipient with the buyer's note, and it can be spent over one or several sessions. On the Growth plan.

Questions
Something your clients value and that costs you little: a small flash from your sheet, a piercing, an aftercare balm or kit. Never a whole session, which is worth too much. For example: one stamp per session and, on the fifth, a free flash up to 2 inches.
No. They scan the QR code at the counter or your Instagram link and tap "Add": the card goes into Apple Wallet on iPhone or Google Wallet on Android. Without a Wallet, the same card opens in the browser, with the same stamps.
If your sessions are priced about the same, stamps: they are the easiest to understand. If you do $60 lettering and $1,000 back pieces, points: one point per dollar, and the reward comes sooner for the client who spends more.
At checkout, the client shows the card from their Wallet and you scan it with your phone: the screen shows their name and new total, and you confirm. If their phone isn't handy, you look them up by name. Each artist can stamp from their own phone.
Yes, on the Growth plan. You sell a gift card for an amount ($100, for example) or for a specific service. It reaches the recipient by text or email, goes into their Wallet and is redeemed with a scan, over one or several sessions.
As of October 2026, Essential is €20 a month excl. VAT in Europe ($29 before tax in the US, £19 in the UK): unlimited clients, Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, scanning and messages to all your clients. Growth, at €40 ($49, £35), adds automatic messages, birthdays, Google reviews, gift cards and 200 texts a month. 30 days free, no commitment.
They stay on your clients' phones with their stamps, and you can keep stamping. Gift cards already sold are still honored. You lose the numbers and messaging; if you come back, everything is intact.
The time it takes to add your logo, pick the reward and print the counter sign. Your next client can add it while you put the wrap on.
