A stamp per $15, $10 off at the tenth
The digital version of the punch card many butchers already hand out. $150 of purchases fills it; you take the $10 off at the register and the card starts over.
Butcher shops and delis
Updated
The same customer picks up sliced ham on a Tuesday and a leg of lamb for eight the next Saturday. A card that hands each of those one stamp is wrong half the time. This one goes by the total you type before you scan.

One that counts the receipt, not the visit. A stamp per visit treats a quarter pound of deli ham and a whole brisket for a family party as the same thing, and your regulars notice. As of October 22, 2026, StampyWallet handles it at the counter: you key in the total before you scan the customer's code, and the card adds one stamp per spending bracket you pick ($15, say) or one point per dollar. The card lives in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet with no app, from $29 a month in the US (€20 in Europe, £19 in the UK); win-backs, customer groups and gift cards are on Growth ($49, €40, £35). If your POS already runs amount-based rewards that customers actually use, keep it.
An amount-based loyalty card is one where rewards are earned from what a customer spends rather than how many times they come in. In StampyWallet, the butcher types the receipt total on a phone while scanning; the customer's card, saved in their Wallet, updates within a second.
By the dollarA $37 order counts for more than a $9 one. You set the bracket; the screen does the math.
Gloves stay onYour phone sits by the register, away from the block. One scan after checkout, never mid-cut.
Closed Mondays? FineWeekly closing days and vacation, once entered, don't turn your regulars into lapsed customers.
What customers earn
Three setups built for a meat and deli counter. Every number below is an example: match the bracket to your prices and margins, it's a single field in the card editor.
The digital version of the punch card many butchers already hand out. $150 of purchases fills it; you take the $10 off at the register and the card starts over.
Two tiers on one card, still by amount: the terrine comes early and gets people tasting your charcuterie, the bird rewards the year-round regular.
Nothing left over: $37 means 37 points. 100 points for a tray of breakfast sausages, 300 for a bone-in rib steak. Even the small Tuesday purchase moves the card.
Give a weight or a cut ("a rib steak, about 2 lb"): the reward printed on the card is exactly what the customer will hold up at your counter.
After checkout
Weigh, wrap, ring it up. Only then does the customer hold out their phone; you enter the receipt total and point at their code.

1They open their WalletThe card sits in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet next to their bank cards. Your phone reads the code like taking a photo.
2The receipt does the countingAn $18 order at $15 per stamp: one stamp, shown on screen before you confirm.
3The card catches up instantlyThe new stamp is on their phone before they've picked up the bag, and the lock screen tells them so.
Two behind the counter, two phonesYour second butcher or apprentice scans from their own phone after an invite link. They get the scanner, not your numbers.
A typo costs nothingTyped 370 instead of 37? A single scan is capped at 50 stamps, and the screen shows it before you confirm.
Phone at home? Their name worksThe scanner finds a customer by first name, last name or phone number.
The receipt at the register
A butcher shop has no average order that means much: between a few slices of pâté and a family-dinner order, the total can vary fifteenfold. The amount rule, set once on your card, sorts it out every visit.
Rounded down, nothing carried over$37.20 at $15 per stamp is two stamps, and the leftover $7.20 isn't banked anywhere. Same rule as the paper punch cards your customers know, and no "I was three dollars short last time".
A small order earns nothingBelow the bracket, no stamp, and the screen says so plainly. If your regulars mostly buy small, switch to a point per dollar so every dollar counts.
The customers who carry your salesOnce half your visits carry an amount, the "Best customers" group in Messages ranks people by dollars spent over 90 days instead of visit count. On Growth.
Closed Mondays, away in summer
The card nudges customers who are overdue, based on each one's own rhythm. It just needs to know when you're closed. Otherwise your Saturday regular looks lapsed while your shutters are down.
Each customer's rhythm, in open daysA weekly customer gets a nudge once their absence passes one and a half times their usual gap. Closed Mondays and vacations never add to it.
No 'butcher' trade in the appPick "Other": with no history yet, the win-back waits 30 days. You can set that delay anywhere from two weeks to three months.
Tell them before you closeEnter the dates in Settings, send one message announcing them, and the count picks up again the day you reopen. Automatic win-backs are part of Growth.
Gift card
Sell a gift card for an amount at your register: a retirement, neighbors saying thanks, a birthday cookout. StampyWallet emails it to the recipient, or texts it where texting is available, with the buyer's note. They spend it with you in one visit or several, and the balance stays current in their Wallet. On Growth.

Butcher questions
By amount, usually: your orders run from a few dollars to over a hundred, and a stamp per visit shortchanges the customer buying for the whole family. Pick a bracket ($15, for example) or a point per dollar; the scanner works it out when you type the total.
With a $15 bracket, no: the amount rounds down and the screen reads "Amount too small: no stamp added". If small purchases are your daily bread, switch the card to points: $8 earns 8 points.
Yes, the reward is whatever text you write ("$10 off your order"). StampyWallet isn't connected to your register, so when the card is full you take the discount off yourself at checkout.
Not if you enter the dates in Settings along with your weekly closing day. A customer's absence is counted in open days, so it stands still while you're closed.
No. You can tell customers your order deadline with a message on their lock screen, but orders are taken by you, at the counter or over the phone, as they are today.
Yes. Invite them with a link: they scan from their own phone and only see the scanner, not the dashboard or your customer list. There's no limit on team members.
