Florists

A florist card that counts dollars, not visits.

Updated

Your Friday regular spends $35 a week; your Thanksgiving customer spends $95 once a year. A stamp per purchase treats them the same. Here every dollar counts, every holiday has its message ready in advance, and whoever sends your flowers can send a gift card too.

What kind of loyalty card works for a flower shop?

One that counts dollars, because your tickets run from a $5 single stem to a $95 sympathy arrangement, and one that reaches people before every flower holiday, because that is when your year is made. StampyWallet does both from your phone: you key in the total before scanning, the card earns a point per dollar, and the Mother's Day message goes out on the day you picked. As of October 22, 2026, the card and same-day messages cost $29 a month before tax in the US (Essential; €20 excl. VAT in Europe); scheduled messages, gift cards sent by email and prepaid bouquet plans are in Growth, $49 (€40). If most of your revenue is weddings and funerals, start with gift cards and prepaid plans: a customer who comes twice a year will never fill a card.

A point-per-dollar card is a loyalty card where the customer moves forward by the size of the ticket, not by one stamp per visit: $35 of peonies earns 35 points, a $5 rose earns 5. StampyWallet puts that card in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet with one scan, no app and no account, and you credit it from your phone.

A point per dollar

A stem, a bouquet, an arrangement: each earns what it costs.

In settings, choose « 1 point per $ spent ». At the register, key in the ticket total before aiming at the QR code; the screen shows the math, you confirm. Cents are dropped, and one scan never earns more than your largest preset (1,000 points at least), so a typo cannot hand out every reward at once.

What she buysTicketPoints
A single rose$55
The Friday bouquet$3535
A potted orchid$4545
A sympathy arrangement$9595

Example prices. With two tiers, a seasonal bunch at 150 points and a bouquet of the moment at 400, your Friday regular reaches her bunch around week five, and the rose bought on impulse still counts.

A reward you can price400 points means $400 spent with you. A bouquet that costs you about $35 in flowers gives back under 10%: you know what you are offering before you write it.

Double points in the slow weeksSummer and the stretch after Valentine's Day can be quiet. Set the rule to 2 points per dollar, tell your customers in one message, then set it back to 1. Nothing else changes.

Your best customers, by dollarsOnce half of your visits carry an amount, the « Best customers » group ranks by dollars spent over 90 days rather than by visits. With Growth, they are the first people to message before a holiday.

The flower calendar

Every holiday gets its message, written on a quiet evening.

A flower holiday is won in the ten days before it, which are exactly the days you have no time. Write the message when the shop is calm, pick the day and hour, and it goes out by itself to the lock screen of everyone who has your card. Each one can be scheduled up to two months ahead, between 7am and 10pm.

One customer in ten skips it, on purposeWith Growth, and from 30 recipients, one customer in ten (always the same one) is held back. The report compares those who got the Mother's Day message with those who didn't, so you see what it really brought in.

Same-day messages from EssentialPeonies just landed at 10am, a bucket of tulips to move before closing: a message to everyone right now is part of Essential. Only picking a future date needs Growth.

The shop's clock, not yours« Sunday 9am » means 9am at the shop, even if you write it from a flower market three time zones away.

The person who gives

One person pays, someone else receives.

Half your bouquets go to someone who has never heard of your shop. When the buyer can't decide, or the recipient lives across town, sell a gift card: StampyWallet emails it to the recipient with the buyer's note, and they come pick their own flowers. The points stay with the buyer, on their card. For bouquets you deliver, tuck your card's QR code (downloadable from your counter poster) into the wrapping. Gift cards and sending are in Growth.

Customers who never come to the counter

The bistro across the street, twelve bouquets paid ahead.

The restaurant that dresses its tables every Monday, the hotel that changes its lobby flowers, the dental office that wants something at reception: they never stand at your counter and will never fill a card. Sell them a prepaid plan, rung up on your own register, in the business's name.

  • On delivery, open their plan from your list of sold plans and take one bouquet off: the manager sees what is left on their phone.
  • With one bouquet left, their wallet invites them to renew; a week before the expiry you chose (one to twelve months), it reminds them.
  • A bouquet taken off by mistake can be put back for 24 hours. StampyWallet doesn't take payment or issue invoices: your register does that.

Questions

What florists ask us.

Someone buys flowers for their mother: who earns the points?

The person who pays, on their own card. The recipient has nothing to do. If the buyer would rather let them choose, sell a gift card: it is emailed to the recipient, who adds it to their wallet and spends it at your shop.

Points or stamps, when a ticket runs from $5 to $95?

Points by the dollar. A stamp per purchase rewards an impulse rose as much as a sympathy arrangement, and your best customers notice. Keep stamps if you mostly sell a fixed-price Friday bouquet: « your 10th bouquet is free » needs no math.

Can I write my Mother's Day message now?

Up to two months before it goes out, with Growth. For Mother's Day on Sunday, May 9, 2027, you can schedule it from early March for the Wednesday or Thursday before. It goes out between 7am and 10pm, shop time.

Does a $1,500 wedding order unlock every reward at once?

No. One scan never earns more than your largest preset (1,000 points at least), and the screen says so before you confirm. For events, many florists credit nothing, or key in a token amount: you type it, you decide.

How do I keep a restaurant that buys flowers every week?

With a prepaid plan rather than a points card: « 12 table bouquets » in the business's name, valid one to twelve months. You take one off at each delivery from your list of sold plans, and the manager tracks what is left in their wallet.

Can people who have my card see it when they walk by the window?

Yes, if their phone allows it. Your address places the shop on the card, and you can check or move the pin in Settings. On iPhone, the card can be suggested on the lock screen when they are close, if they kept « Suggest on Lock Screen » on; on Android, if they turned on notifications and precise location for Google Wallet. The phone decides whether to show it, and each shop has one location.

Your points card can be ready before the next holiday.

Pick the rule (1 point per dollar), two tiers, and print the counter poster. The next customer adds it while you tie the ribbon.
