Our verdict

BonusQR is €1 cheaper on its entry paid plan, but Basic stops at 5 employee accounts, and an unlimited team, birthdays and Google reviews wait for Premium, at €69 a month. On StampyWallet, the team is unlimited from €20 ($29, £19), and Growth, at €40 ($49, £35), handles reminders, birthdays and Google review requests.

What changes

Why StampyWallet rather than BonusQR

Your whole team, without paying €69

On BonusQR, Free has a single manager account, Basic adds 5 employee accounts with limited actions, and unlimited employee access needs Premium, at €69 a month. With us, the team is unlimited on every plan, with roles.

Birthdays and Google reviews for €40, not €69

Birthday coupons and Google Maps review automation are Premium features on BonusQR. Our Growth plan, at €40 ($49, £35), sends a birthday gift good for 30 days, the direct link to your Google listing after a reward and automatic reminders, and includes 200 texts a month.

Your card, not your neighbours' shop window

In the BonusQR app, your customers see other businesses nearby; to show only yours, you need the white label, at €690 one-time then €69 a month. The StampyWallet card carries your look and goes into Apple Wallet or Google Wallet from one QR code.

Your customer data, hosted in France, under GDPR

OVH hosting in Strasbourg, CSV export at any time, and by default nothing asked of your customers beyond a first name. BonusQR's pricing page doesn't say where data is hosted.

What changes

What StampyWallet adds, compared with BonusQR

What the table doesn't show, and what you can try for thirty days before paying.

  1. 01

Gift cards that live in the Wallet

Sell a product or an amount, valid for 3, 6 or 12 months. StampyWallet sends it to the person receiving it by email, or by text where texting is available; it goes into their Wallet and is redeemed with a scan, at the same counter as the loyalty card. On the Growth plan.

  2. 02

A card that looks like your shop

Four collections drawn for small businesses (café, florist, trattoria, studio), your logo, your colours, your own stamp, even photos of your products on the card. The Apple Wallet and Google Wallet preview follows every change, from the Essential plan.

  3. 03

One phone at the counter is enough

No tablet, no terminal: you scan the customer's card with your phone. If the network drops during service, the stamp goes through as soon as it's back, never twice.

Who it is for

The businesses we built this for

A café, a bakery or a salon that wants a card in its own colours in its customers' wallets, the whole team at the counter, and birthdays and Google reviews without paying €69 a month.

Hair salons

A client who comes back at six weeks instead of ten is two extra visits a year. The card counts the visits, the win-back catches the ones drifting away, and the stamp happens while you take payment.

Nail technicians

A new set every three to four weeks is exactly the rhythm of a ten-slot card. A free set at the end, or a tier halfway, and the reminder goes out on its own when the gap stretches.

Beauty salons

Treatments, waxing, packages : it all rides on the next appointment. The card stays in the phone, and the birthday message only goes out if you have written what you are offering. Never a bare wish.

Cafés and bakeries

A passing customer installs nothing : they scan the QR on the counter, the card is in their wallet in three seconds, and the tenth free coffee is what pays for the first nine.

Questions

StampyWallet and BonusQR, the questions that keep coming up

How much does BonusQR cost?

According to its pricing page: Free at €0, Basic at €19 a month and Premium at €69, billed monthly, quarterly or semi-annually. White label costs €690 one-time then €69 a month, and a custom app starts at €1,500 one-time then €69 a month.

Is BonusQR cheaper than StampyWallet?

On the entry paid plan, by €1: €19 against €20 before tax. But Basic includes 5 employee accounts, while our team is unlimited from Essential, and birthdays and Google reviews need Premium at €69, against €40 for our Growth plan.

Do my customers need to install an app?

Not with us: the card goes into Apple Wallet or Google Wallet from one QR code, and a phone with no wallet gets it in its browser or by email. BonusQR also says no app download is needed for its wallet card, but asks the customer to create an account.
